Protect Me From My Dreams, installation, Wassaic Project, 2026
This installation reflects issues within narrative and history paintings, as well as the gilded, carved and detail laden interiors of wealthy colonialists from the 17th to19th centuries.
The work veers off the art-historical rails with sculpturally molded menageries of wild-eyed creatures bulging out of the canvases and meandering along the paintings’ frames while the narratives that play out are fantastical, futuristic and feminist.
