The interiors in this series are painted on room dividers or wood panels. There is a decorative quality to the images that is in counterpoint to the scenes depicted. Some screens are pensive and some are chaotic. Television is used as a device for introducing the threat of outside danger. The characters in the paintings are only aware of their personal dramas or distractions.
